It’s that time of year again. When the light of day is shorter (which means no long walks after five o’clock), cooler days (time to unpack my sweaters), and high in the trees, squirrels take target practice at my head with acorns. But the best thing of all is that Mom buys me a new costume to wear for when kids come to my house saying Trick or Treat.
This year, I’m going to be a taco. It isn’t a scary costume (I won’t make any kids cry) or a funny costume (unless you know a good taco joke), but I’m positive kids will think I’m the most handsome taco they’ve ever seen. Don’t you agree?
On October 31, I’ll be wearing my costume when Mom takes me on walks. If you see me as you drive by, be sure to wave!
