Survival Kit for Everyday Living

Survival Kit for Everyday Living

We all need reminders in life.

Sometimes we ask Alexa or Siri to remind us of an appointment or add an item to our shopping list. Perhaps you use apps on your cell phone to help you organize your activities or dinner plans. I’ve even sent myself an email when I’m away from home to remind me of a task I need to complete later.

Today, put together the list of items below and make your own survival kit. Then, revisit your survival kit every day. You’ll have a better outlook on life.

  1. Toothpick. To remind you to pick out the good qualities in others.
  2. Rubber Band. To remind you to be flexible. Things might not always go the way you want, but it will work out.
  3. Adhesive Bandage. To remind you to heal hurt feelings, yours or someone else’s.
  4. Pencil. To remind you to list your blessings.
  5. Eraser. To remind you that everyone makes mistakes and that’s OK.
  6. Chewing Gum. To remind you to stick with it and you can accomplish anything.
  7. Tea Bag. To remind you to relax daily and reflect on all the positive things in your life.

Don’t you feel better already? Maybe you know someone who could use this kit. Share it with everyone you consider a friend.

Have fun with your daily survival kit.
