Bead Candy Cane and Wreath Decorations

Want to add a touch of uniqueness to your Christmas tree or presents? Make these fun candy canes and wreaths!

Supplies:

  • Tri Beads – 11mm with 2mm hole
  • White Pipe Cleaners (cut to 10-inches)
  • Red, Green, and White 3/8-inch Organza Ribbon
  • 7/8-inch Ribbon Hole Lace

Directions for Lace Candy Canes:

  1. On one end of the pipe cleaner, wrap end around a white bead. Start on the opposite end. You’ll add the beads and lace on the top, then slowly push down as you go, until you reach the bottom white bead.
  2. Place hole of lace on the pipe cleaner.
  3. Add 2 red beads.
  4. Flip lace and put hole of lace on top of red beads.
  5. Add 1 white bead.
  6. Flip lace and put hole of lace on top of white bead.
  7. Repeat steps 3-6 until the pipe cleaner is full of beads.
  8. Cut lace and twist end of pipe cleaner around the last bead.
  9. Form a candy cane shape and add a bow.

Directions for Candy Canes:

  1. On one end of the pipe cleaner, wrap end around a white bead. Start on the opposite end.
  2. Add a red bead, then a white bead, repeating until the pipe cleaner is full of beads.
  3. Twist end of pipe cleaner around the last bead.
  4. Form a candy cane shape and add a bow.

Directions for Wreaths:

  1. Bend one end of pipe cleaner a 1/4-inch. Start on opposite end.
  2. Add beads as you wish. You can make a pattern or just add beads on a whim.
  3. When you near the end, twist the two ends of the pipe cleaner together. Add ribbon to make a hanger, then add a bow.
