Fridge Treat Bins

In the next few days or weeks, kids will be out of school and home for the summer. (Or this may help you to eat healthier.) Instead of stopping what you are doing to fix them a healthy treat every day, make a “treat” bin in the refrigerator.

On Sunday night, fill the treat bin with single, grabbable, healthy snack bags of:

  • carrot sticks
  • slices of cheese
  • cherry tomatoes
  • sliced cucumbers
  • strawberries
  • blueberries
  • jicama

Also, make a treat bin that you can set on the counter or in the pantry filled with dried apricots, fig bars, apples, bananas, or raisins.

Hope this helps you and your kids to eat healthier between meals.
