Over the course of my life I’ve had numerous collections. In junior high school I collected owls (and I still have four porcelain owls that are displayed on my dresser). In my early twenties I collected anything in the shape of a heart. After I married, I collected unique picture frames. Then I started collecting Santas, snowmen, and angels.
My latest obsession is pink flamingos. It started about a year ago with the “Stand Tall & Dream Big” framed picture. I’ve gradually added a ring holder, pillow, t-shirt, Christmas sweater, flip flops, crocs, canvas shoes, large handbag, Apple watch band, and pens.
My husband, against his better judgment because he thinks I’m crazy for collecting pink flamingos, bought me “Francine” (the glass flamingo yard art that lights up at night) for my Mother’s Day gift.
I wonder what I’ll find next to add to my collection.
