Plain to Pretty Vase

If you are like me, over the years you’ve collected various size of vases. Most are probably plain clear vases. You may even look in your recycle bin and find any type of clear glass jar. Take one or two and turn them into works of art.

Supplies:

  • Glass Vase/Jar
  • Permanent Marker
  • White Fabric Paint with a pointed applicator tip
  • Spray Paint
  • Newspaper

Directions:

  1. Clean glass container and dry thoroughly.
  2. With a permanent marker, draw a design of small dots on the glass.
  3. Cover each dot with a tiny drop of fabric paint. Let dry.
  4. Protect your work surface with newspaper. (You’ll probably want to do this step outside.) Fill the inside of the glass container with newspaper.
  5. Apply an even coat of spray paint to the outside of the container. Let dry.

Fill your redecorated container with flowers, a candle, or a place to put your keys. Have fun!
