New Uses for an Old Fitted Sheet

If you have a fitted sheet that you don’t use anymore, repurpose it one of these seven ways:

1. Fold a fitted sheet in half and tie the ends to bedposts to create a stuffed animal hammock.
2. Use a fitted sheet as a cover for a picnic table. The elastic edges keep the sheet from blowing away in the wind. You can also use it as a dining table cover for craft projects.
3. Lay a fitted sheet over the backseat to keep crumbs, spills or dirty pet paws off the car’s interior. Be sure to cut openings for the seat belts.
4. Take a fitted sheet to the beach and use it for a sand-free blanket.
5. Cover a fitted sheet over plants before a frost.
6. When painting, lay a fitted sheet over furniture or the floor to avoid paint splatters.
7. Cut up an old fitted sheet and use as cleaning rags.
