These scrumptious cookies are easy to make. You might want to make a double batch as they disappear quickly!
Ingredients:
- 1 roll (16.5 ounce) Refrigerated Sugar Cookie dough
- 1/3 cup Ricotta Cheese
- 1/2 cup Flour
- 1 tablespoon grated Orange Zest
- 1-3/4 cups Powdered Sugar
- 3 tablespoons fresh Orange Juice
Directions:
- Heat oven to 350 degrees. Line cookie sheets with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, break up cookie dough. Stir in ricotta cheese, flour, and 2 teaspoons of the orange zest.
- Shape dough into balls and place 2 inches apart on cookie sheets.
- Bake 10-13 minutes. Cool 1 minute, then remove from cookie sheets to cooling rack. Cool at least 20 minutes.
- In a small bowl, mix powdered sugar, 2 tablespoons of orange juice, and remaining 1 teaspoon orange zest. If necessary, add additional orange juice.
- Drizzle glaze over tops of cookies. Let stand until glaze is set – about 20 minutes.
- Store in covered airtight container in refrigerator.
