Breakfast Bake

My sister, Dona, made this recipe for me years ago. The moment I tasted the combination of sausage, egg, hash browns, and cheese inside a delicious crust, I knew I had to have the recipe.

This recipe is great to make for either breakfast or dinner. I love breakfast-type food for my evening meal. Reminds me of growing up and having pancakes for dinner. Comfy and cozy.

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 pound Pork Sausage
  • 1 tube (8 oz.) Crescent Rolls
  • 1 cup cooked, shredded Hash Browns
  • 1 cup shredded Cheddar Cheese
  • 5 Eggs
  • 1/4 cup Milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon Pepper
  • 2 tablespoons Parmesan Cheese

Directions

  1. In a skillet, cook and crumble the sausage until browned. Drain.
  2. Separate crescent roll dough and place in an ungreased 13 x 9 baking dish. Seal perforations.
  3. Spoon sausage over crust. Top with potatoes and cheddar cheese.
  4. In a bowl, beat eggs, milk, salt and pepper; pour evenly over the cheese.
  5. Sprinkle with parmesan cheese.
  6. Bake at 375 degrees for 20-25 minutes.

If by chance you have leftovers, slice a piece and warm in the microwave or toaster oven.
