Killer Nashville Writer’s Conference

Last week I attended the 13th Annual Killer Nashville International Writer’s Conference in Franklin, Tennessee. It’s a gathering of accomplished writers, wannabe writers, agents, publishers, and publicity personnel. The conference is four days of networking, attending workshops, expanding your writing knowledge, and having fun. I left the conference with a notebook full of notes, and a few autographed books.

Perhaps you know some of the Guests of Honor (I had to have my picture taken with all of them):

·         Ellery Adams – New York Times bestselling author of over 30 novels.

·         Otto Penzler – Proprietor of The Mysterious Bookshop in NYC and award-winner of two Edgar Awards, MWA’s Ellery Queen Award and the Raven.

·         Jeffery Deaver – International number-one bestselling author and has sold over 50 million books worldwide.

·         Anne Perry – International bestselling historical novelist with over 20 million books sold worldwide.

·         J.A. Konrath – Written over 30 novels, 100 short stories, and has sold more than 2 million books in twenty countries.

Since my latest book, Black Roses for Cassidy, came out this year, my name was included in the “Cocked Guns” list in the conference program.

A huge thanks goes out to Clay Stafford and his staff for putting on a wonderful conference.
